The creative brief for this Gunner School group project stated: "Work with a group to write a short - yet meaningful - voice over script, then create an animation to reinforce your ideas" - all in a span of two weeks. My partner Wendy and I took the challenge head-on, and beginning with a shared love of language learning we ended up with a fun, quirky, scammy infomercial about a magical pill the supposedly boosts your language learning ability.
I was in charge of laying down the VO, which in my head kept playing as this hypermasculine narrator that would try to sell you an energy drink. Wendy designed all the styleframes and executed the character animation, while I animated the explosive entrance of the product, the "talking shit" blurb and the end credits. Additionally, I sourced all the sound effects that we used.
